Annual General Meeting 2008
Updated 04 Nov 08 ADnet held the AGM in Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday, October
30, 2008 at the Bushplane Museum Theatre in Sault Ste. Marie for the purpose of
conducting the normal AGM agenda items of the
Annual Report, governance motions and
financial statements. The AGM completed all these action items in accordance
with its By-laws and standard operating procedures. At the direction of the Board, the Executive Director (ED)
also gave a presentation outlining the organization’s current operational status
and financial situation. At the end of the presentation, the ED introduced the
wording for a motion to wind-up the organization. After a lively discussion, the formal motion to wind-up the
organization was unanimously defeated in a head count vote. Furthermore the
stakeholders agreed that the corporation should continue to operate in its
current mode until at least March 30, 2009 or until such time as circumstances
dictate an alternate approach. |
