Broadband and Cellular RFP Issued 29 Feb 08

revised 13 May 08

This RFP is now closed. Thank you for your interest.

A NetCentral sponsored RFP for cellular and broadband service that includes the ADnet catchment area was issued on 29 Feb 08 with a response date of 30 Apr 08.

ADnet worked with NetCentral to develop a RFP for broadband and cellular services in the East Algoma area. This approach enabled ADnet to optimize preparation expenses while taking advantage of the opportunity to present potential service providers with the chance to enhance their return on investment in a the larger service area.

The RFP does allows a vendor to respond to the total requirement or specific sub-projects identified in the document. The document even allows for  vendors to submit responses that satisfy a vendor identified need.

ADnet hopes this dual lane approach will encourage both small and large vendors to take advantage of the opportunity to provide service, especially broadband, to the rural areas of east Algoma.

Copies of the RFP are available on Merx (www.merx.com) under the tab marked Private Tenders at the top of the page. Then use the search  box on the left with the input 'NetCentral'.
