In order to achieve our Vision, ADnet will: 

>   Provide leadership in assisting communities with Information Technology (IT) planning, development and utilization, which will close the gaps between existing capacity and “world class” capabilities[ and facilitate economic and social development ;

>      Support the creation of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure (with an emphasis on broadband backbone and high speed local loop implementation);

>     Build and support partnerships with public and private sector entities to optimize the development and use of ICT capabilities, with an emphasis on initiatives aimed at underdeveloped area or initiatives that provide positive cash flow required to sustain ADnet operations ;

>      Enhance community technology capacity through public awareness of ICT resources and capabilities and through knowledge transfer and local skills development[;

>      Provide ADnet members with mentoring and support in the development and enhancement of their ICT capabilities;

>      Support other likeminded organizations in the achievement of ICT related goals both within the Algoma District and throughout northern Ontario; and

>      Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate into ADnet plans where appropriate[.
