Bell DSL Service West End Sault
Information Available as of 21  Dec 09

Bell Aliant started DSL service in September 2009  in an area they describe as a 5 km radius from the Central Office (CO) located at Airport and Baseline Roads. The map below  is an approximation of the service area and not a guarantee of service to a specific address which may be within the radius.

While the Bell input said a 5 km radius, DSL service is normally measured in cable distance and not a straight line. After about 5 km cable distance the speed of the DSL service deteriorates.

This page Bell  page allows you to enter your phone number to see if service is available at that location.

The map below also shows the Deferral Account area identified in the Broadband Canada data base. The CRTC has directed the vendors to submit their implementation schedule to the CRTC by January 15, 2010. At that time, the timeline for service availability will become known.

The most recent information concerning the Deferral Accounts can be found on the Deferral Account page
